Deliveries

Deliveries generally take place within 3-7 working days however lead times vary and orders can take up to 15 working days from the date payment reflects in De-Ville Furniture’s bank account, special orders may take up to 6 weeks.

Lay by Payment Terms

De-Ville Furniture offers up to 6 months of interest-free layby terms. Contact us at Info@devillefurn.co.za should you wish to convert your order to a layby account.
10% Deposit secures.
3 and 6-month interest-free lay-bys are available.

Terms & Conditions

  1. All quotations, unless otherwise stated, are valid for 14 days from date of issue.
  2.  Ownership of delivered goods will only transfer to the purchaser after the goods have been paid for in full.
  3.  Errors and omissions excepted (E&OE)
  4. Discount Vouchers are redeemed against specific products as indicated in vouchers issues and cannot be redeemed against sale items, or previously discounted items. Discount Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts and / or promotions. 
  5.  No goods are to be accepted from our delivery crew if any visible signs of damage exist, while we have strict quality control measures in place the onus is on the purchaser to fully inspect all goods prior to accepting such goods, all damage goods must be immediately returned for exchange.
  6.  The purchaser will be charged again for delivery in the event of re-delivery due to non-payment of the initial delivery or due to delivery arrangements not being met.
  7. While every effort has been taken to accurately reflect the colour of each item displayed, it must be noted that colours appear different under certain circumstances and this is dependent on many variables, including lighting, the camera used to take the picture, the screen the image is being viewed on, the resolution settings of the device, among many others variable. It is understood that slight colour variations may occur and that this is not deemed to be a reason to reject a delivery. 
  8.  The purchaser shall not be entitled to cancel the contract simply because the estimated date of delivery had not been met, without a written demand to the seller to affect delivery. The above-mentioned demand must give the seller 14 (fourteen) days from the date of receipt of letter by him to make such delivery.
  9.  The purchaser undertakes to accept delivery of goods within five days from date of receipt of ordered goods from the factory by the seller. The seller will be entitled to charge storage at a rate of 10% of the selling price per month if the purchaser does not comply to the delivery period mentioned above.
  10. A variety of materials are used in the manufacturing process, it is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure they fully understand the materials utilised in the manufacturing of the products they would like to order, prior to placing an order as items returned will attract handling fees as well as delivery and/or collection fees. 
  11.  Factory guarantee and warranty handling process:
  12. Only the conditions as set out in this agreement will form the basis of the contract between the seller and the purchaser. It is further understood that no other conditions or guarantees given by the seller or his agent are binding unless it has been agreed upon as a written and signed amendment to this contract.
  13. In the event of a dispute between the seller and the purchaser, both parties to the agreement agree to the authority of the Magistrate’s Court of Johannesburg to hear such a dispute.
  14. The purchaser will be responsible for all legal costs (including legal costs of attorney-and-client scale and cost of collection) that the seller may have to enter into in order to recover monies owed under this agreement.
  15. Cancelled orders will attract a handling fee of 20% (twenty percent) of the total purchase price of the cancelled order.
  16. All goods are to be paid for in full prior to delivery being scheduled. Payment is to be via electronic funds transfer (EFT) only. Our drivers are instructed not to deliver unless payment, in full, is made before delivery.
  17. Payment options: Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) (Goods only released once payments confirmed) PLEASE NOTE: We offer no credit or accounts facilities.
  18. Deliveries will take place within 3-14 days of your order being placed, this being dependent on your location and on the date of your payment clearing into our bank account with the exclusion of special orders which carry a lead time of 3-6 weeks.
  19. The purchaser agrees to inspect all mattresses and ensure that they are defect free, the correct size and the correct mattress as per the item ordered as no mattresses can be returned at a later stage due to hygiene reasons. Warranties on all mattresses carry their own terms and conditions and repairs will be at the manufacturer’s discretion. 
  20. All repairs carry a call out fee which is to be paid in full by the purchaser before such repair is effected. The purchaser agrees to pay for the collection and/or delivery of all items that need to be repaired at our premises, irrespective whether these items are under warranty and/or guarantee. 
  21. Customer special order process (Special orders include colours, sizes like King and Extra Length etc):
  22. Delivery process: We will contact you once your order and delivery address has been received, at this time we will confirm availability and delivery costs. We will Endeavor to deliver goods within the advised time periods, but goods are subject to availability and delay in the delivery of goods is frequently in the hands of a third party and sometimes outside our control. Carriers cannot specify an exact hour of delivery. Any dates we specify for the delivery of goods are approximations only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay in the delivery of the goods. Our failure to meet approximate delivery dates will not be grounds for you to cancel the sale. Some orders may be delivered in more than one drop. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order and goods will not be left without a signature. You are required to make all the necessary arrangements in order to take delivery of the goods whenever they are tendered for delivery. If you are not at home on the date that has been agreed and the delivery agent cannot contact you, we reserve the right to charge you for the re-delivery. It is the purchasers responsibility to ensure that there is a responsible person at the delivery address to inspect and to sign for the goods. We cannot accept liability for damages or errors if goods have been fitted or if you have had the goods in your possession for more than 24 hours.
  23. Risk: All risk of goods shall pass to you, the customer, on arrival at the delivery address, as advised by you.
  24. Installation: We do not effect installation and accordingly, none of our prices include installation unless otherwise stated. DIY (Do It Yourself) items do not include accessories for example: tools, nails, screws, adhesives, brackets including shelving brackets or TV brackets, etc.
  25. Faulty Goods: Faulty goods must be returned to us at the clients own cost for inspection and testing. Faulty goods will be swopped out if returned within 7 days from purchase, if the purchase exceeds 7 days the item will be sent to the manufacturer for repairs or replacement. Please note that notwithstanding anything which is set out above, in order to successfully obtain an exchange or refund for faulty goods the goods must be returned complete with all accessories in their original box and packaging, and proof of purchase must be presented by the purchaser. 
  26. Guarantees: All products supplied are covered by the terms and conditions of the manufacturer’s guarantee. No further or additional warranties or undertakings will be given by De-Ville Furniture in regard to the goods. Normal wear and tear, incorrect selection of weight category, exposure to chemicals, liquids, sunlight, or non-factory faults are excluded and are not covered by the guarantee or warranty. In all instances a collection and or a delivery fee will be applicable, irrespective of the terms and conditions of the guarantee or manufacturer’s warranty. 
  27. Warranty: All products supplied are covered by the terms and conditions of the manufacturer’s warranty, where applicable. No further or additional warranties or undertakings will be given by De-Ville Furniture in regard to the goods. In all instances a collection and or a delivery fee will be applicable, irrespective of the terms and conditions of the guarantee or manufacturer’s warranty. Normal wear and tear, incorrect selection of weight category, exposure to chemicals, liquids, sunlight, or non-factory faults are excluded and are not covered by the guarantee or warranty. In all instances a warranty service fee will be levied, the value of which is determined by the length of time the client has been using the item as well as the nature of the warranty claim. Delivery and collection fees will apply.
  28. Non-Deliveries: We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 24 hours from the expected delivery date.
  29. Refunds: Refunds will be at our discretion and no refunds will be considered after 7 days from purchase. Refunds, once authorised, will be processed within 7-14 working days from date of authorisation being granted. In the case of a refund, any monies due to the customer will be paid back into the bank account from which payment was received. No refunds will be entertained without proof of payment, and proof of identification being produced. Under no circumstances will delivery or collection fees be refunded, all refunds are subject to a 10% administration fee
  30. Returns Policy: PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU KEEP THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING IN CASE YOU HAVE ANY REASON TO RETURN YOUR PURCHASE. You must notify in us writing if a product has been delivered incomplete within 24 hours of your receipt thereof. Returns to us will be at your expense. If we, for some reason pay the costs relating to any return by you, we shall be entitled to claim a refund of any such payment from you and you shall refund any and all amounts to us on demand. We do not accept returns unless the goods supplied by us are in their original packaging and have not been opened by you, other than for the purpose of inspection thereof. Notwithstanding what is set out above, we advise that all returns will be at our discretion. Subject to what is recorded under this returns policy clause, if returns are received by us after 7 (seven) days from the date of delivery, we will not be obliged to accept the returned goods for the purpose at all. All items are to be inspected at the time of delivery and should any products be deemed defective they are to be returned on the same vehicle that delivered to the client, the client accepts that all goods are in order if items are not returned on the same vehicle that delivered to the client.
  31. Lay-by policy:
  32. Privacy Statement: We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that you provide, for lawful purposes. We obtain information about you only to process your order and provide you with the best possible service, from time to time you may be contacted for marketing purposes. We will Endeavor to ensure that the information we hold will be accurate and up to date and we agree keep such information secure.
  33. Restrictions on use of material: Material on the De-Ville Furniture website and/or social media platforms may not be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any way, without the prior written consent from De-Ville Furniture.
  34. Trademarks: All company names, logos, trademarks, product names, images or photographs displayed in this website are the property of their respective owners.
  35. Amendment to Terms: De-Ville Furniture reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without notice.
  36. Disclaimer: It is our intention that all information on this website is as accurate and up to date as possible, however this cannot be guaranteed. We have the right to refuse or cancel any orders in order to take account of any increase in our suppliers’ prices, or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is incorrect, whether or not the order has been confirmed. Errors on our website are rare, but mistakes can happen. In the unlikely event of an error in price being made on our website, we will contact you and give you the opportunity to amend or cancel your order. If payment has already been affected by the purchaser, and the order is cancelled by the seller, the seller will process a refund into the purchaser’s bank account within 7 days of the order being cancelled. The seller will not be liable for any injuries or financial loss resulting from accidents related to the order or loss of time and monies resulting from delays, non-deliveries and wrong delivery. Price and availability information are subject to change without notice. De-Ville Furniture, its employees and agents accept no responsibility whatsoever for any damages caused by any means howsoever to any person or property upon the delivery, removal, return, installation of goods or for any other reason whatsoever. We do not accept responsibility for time or earnings lost or for any other consequential. De-Ville Furniture shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages, which result from using any products.
  37. NOTE FROM COURIER: If you are based in a rural area or a high risk hijacking area, courier may contact you to meet them at a safe place or may ask you to collect from the depot in your area.
  38. We deliver directly from our manufacturers to your home, passing the savings on to you.
  39. Any free vouchers received cannot be redeemed against your current purchase or against the promotion for which you received said vouchers, or against any discounted offers or products.
